Autism Initiatives UK

Autism Initiatives UK was first established in 1972.  The charity grew from the work of Pat Minshull who was concerned about the lack of specialised help available for her son Peter, who has autism.    A successful fundraising campaign resulted in the establishment of Peterhouse School in Southport.

Care UK

Care UK is a leading independent provider of health and social care.  Working in close partnership with local authorities, PCTs and SHAs, the company draws on over 25 years of experience to provide tailor-made service solutions, including residential, community, specialist, primary and secondary care.

CIC

CIC (Community Integrated Care) is the 15th largest care adult social care charity in the UK. Since March 1988 they have been delivering diverse support and care services in a number of settings including: supported living for people with learning disabilities and/or mental health concerns; residential and nursing care for older people; treatment for substance misuse and accommodation for homelessness.

Four Seasons Health Care

Four Seasons Health Care is one of the largest independent providers of care services within the UK, owning and operating over 400 care centres and nursing homes and employing over 21,000 people.

Recognised for their experience, expertise and financial strength in the UK healthcare industry, Four Seasons have a broad range of care offerings, including care services for the elderly, frail or mentally infirm, respite care services, rehabilitation, intermediate care, terminal and palliative care.

Livability

Livability is about creating choices for disabled people rather than making choices for them.  They believe that everyone should have the freedom to live their lives and use their abilities.  With the emphasis on choice, independence and control, they offer residential care services, supported living, lifestyle choices projects and accessible holiday accommodation, plus a school and further education colleges.  They work with thousands of disabled people and their families each year, throughout the UK.

Making Space

Making Space works with people affected by mental health conditions, and with their carers, to help them shape their lives based on their own personal aspirations and circumstances.

Mencap

Mencap is the voice of learning disability. Everything they do is about valuing and supporting people with a learning disability and their families and carers.

By working in partnership Mencap offers services that go further towards meeting the needs of people with a learning disability.   As the leading provider of specialist services for people with a learning disability Mencap has a reputation for both reliability and innovation.

Scope

Founded in 1952, Scope is a UK disability charity for children and adults with cerebral palsy.

Scope employ over 3,500 staff (more than 20% of whom are people with a disability) and an annual turnover of around £100 million and continues to create independent living, education and employment opportunities for people with cerebral palsy and related impairments and to campaign for equality for all disabled people.

 

Sense

Sense was established in 1955 as a support and self-help group for the parents of children whose disabilities were neither recognised nor provided for. Nowadays, Sense is a national charity and is the UK’s largest provider of services to those with hearing and sight impairments.

Shaw Healthcare

Shaw Healthcare are entrusted with the care of very vulnerable people, both young and old, in specialist care homes, hospitals and in people's own homes.  Their staff give this care day and night as though to their own family and they do this because of their expectations of themselves, those they care for and their relatives and because of the trust placed in them by their managers.
