e-tips®

Recognising and highlighting hidden administration costs and burdens associated with temporary agency labour can be an impossible task and one that some organisations simply have no control over. Worse still, very few solutions are available to fix this alarming problem; a problem which is hidden away and costs millions every year.

To combat this escalating problem, e-tips® was launched in 2003. Our web-based timesheet and invoice processing system, dramatically reduced the cost of processing timesheets and invoices by presenting our clients with a single, 100% accurate, consolidated invoice. The revolutionary system also provided clients with a wealth of management information and delivers a previously unattainable level of transparency, visibility and control, which continues to this day.

In 2011, following widespread consultation with existing e-tips® users to establish the optimum requirements needed for our user base, a new version was developed and built using state-of-the-database and programming techniques. Not only is the updated version faster, simpler and completely scaleable, it also incorporates multi-level client and agency models in order to meet the needs of current and future customers and agencies. This enhanced e-tips® is also fully compatible with all other de Poel applications.

To highlight de Poel’s ability to react to legislative challenges hitting the industry, we incorporated a whole host of new functionalities to help assist our clients with the  Agency Workers Regulations that came into effect in October 2011. With de Poel doing what it does best –  solving intricate problems through simple technology -  the third generation of e-tips® was created to mitigate the risk of legal exposure for both our clients and their preferred agency panel, whilst streamlining processes to enable resource to be directed to an organisation’s core competencies. These new functions guide agencies through the correct legal procedures, and provide sophisticated technology checks, which offer:

    * Drivers licence validity
    * Passport legitimacy
    * CRB certificates legality
    * Candidate qualifications
    * Candidate length of service tracking
    * Swipe card system
    * Biometric hand scan technology

These compliance reporting features have been developed to address the challenges of the Agency Workers Regulations, but also act as an example to our ability to create retrospective solutions for our clients in preparation for future obstacles. In direct relation to the Agency Workers Regulations these new features will give our clients total control and mean temporary agency workers can be tracked by National Insurance Number and length of service; this effortlessly highlights a 12 week assignment period, which will change the status of the temporary agency colleague.
