Freelancers and the AWR

Freelancers have been a bit of a grey area in the run up to the implementation of the Agency Workers Regulations. Those who are genuinely in business on their own account are out of scope of the Agency Workers Regulations, and this means that most limited company contractors will also be out of scope. Although, those who work through an umbrella company are not.

The Professional Contractors Group (PCG) has released a guide for company’s and agencies who work with freelancers. You can read more about the guide by visiting their website or you can download it here.
