Part-time and temporary workers have increased dramatically over the last months as organisations continue to operate with apprehension permanent recruits are still on hold. In addition to the increase of temporary workers, organisations have been outsourcing elements of HR, in particular recruitment to vendor neutral service providers like de Poel.

Over the last 18 months the world economy has been hit by the biggest economic storm for many generations. As unemployment has risen, families across the world have felt ther eal and human costs of the global credit crunch and the worldwide recession. Over five million workers across the UK gave away £27.4 billion in unpaid overtime in 2009, a TUC analysis of official statistics reveals The TUC study shows that 5.07 million people regularly worked un paid overtime in 2009/2010, a decline of 168,000 since 2008.
